Steering Committee for Community Partnerships and the Elimination of Health Disparities (CPEHD)

Functions: Members meet monthly
                      - to set directions and goals for the AACCER
                      - to evaluate program effectiveness and to ensure quality delivery

Current projects:  
 
* Focus Group
   - what do we want to know?
     (cancer priority perception, needs assessment, ways to improve service delivery, ... etc.)
   - identify focus group targets
   - develop questions for each group
   - recruit participants and conduct focus groups
   - report results
* Clinical Trial DVD production
   - set up DVD screenings to get feedbacks for the DVD to be re-produced
   - revising scripts for linguistic and cultural appropriateness 
   - translating scripts
   - revising script
   - auditioning voice dubbing talents
   - recording production
   - bilingual/ bicultural capacity building
     Tasks: develop bilingual materials, recruit bilingual staff, provide staff training & support
   - marketing and outreach
     Tasks: plan a media campaign to announce clinic opening and invite usage
